No EDGE network in the desert.

No EDGE network in the desert.

Well, it’s been a long while. I have spent the last week (or so) enjoying a day of migrained sleep on the busiest shopping day, Thanksgiving preparation, much eating, driving, and–oh yeah, freezing in the desert.

So, for the past few days, I haven’t had an EDGE network in the desert. No cell phone signal. Talk about disconnected. But we got to take some cool pictures.

It had been a while since the last road trip (since before the funky poison spider incident) and I have been itching to get out of the state. My fiancee had recommended the Grand Canyon, so off we went.

We did lots of things.

We drove over tons of desert.

Drove over the state line.

Went to see the London Bridge in the US.

We went to Lake Havasu. Needed a jump start the next morning.

Then we stopped at this cool bridge thing over something scenic.

Ate at Sonic’s.

Then more desert.

Then the Grand Canyon.

Here’s the view from our campground.

Then it was time to head back.

We saw some cool sign along the way.

Good times to be had.

Next week, it’s off to Mexico for some dental surgery.
