CNET Editor James Kim has died.

James Kim has passed away trying to find help for his family in the Oregon wilderness. He will be missed.

Many of my friends know that I have wanted to be a technical journalist. The plan was for me to move up to the bay area some day and write for MaximumPC or something from the CNet cache of magazines or online sites. But it was not meant to be, as I still sit as an engineer in little ol’San Diego.

But to, through the years, read his statements and reviews, and watch him, it allowed me to vicariously live through his experiences. Then for him to disappear so quickly.

James you will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
