Wow…has it been two weeks?
I have managed to get sick (those nasty, pollutants in the wind…sucks), put together a new Vista machine–and, oh yeah, go behind the scenes of the Phantom of the Opera–in Broadway, no less. Here’s a long blog entry full of pictures.
Let’s see…my new Vista desktop.

And some behind the scenes action in New York. That’s me on the organ that the phantom plays. Sick!

Behind me is the chandelier (the one that falls during the auction, you remember it–because you’re a cultured person). Yes–I am standing on the stage at the Majestic.

The costumes.

The best thing on Broadway right now: Spamalot.

And then there’s good old Time’s Square.

And a cool view of the Sierra Nevada mountains from the airplane.

So we went and saw 300. It was an awesome movie. A violent, yet tasteful, and powerful movie about the battle of Thermopylae. It was very toosh-kicking, with just the right amounts of comedy and Spartan-style romance (say what?) sprinkled around the film. However…while watching, I couldn’t help but feel inadequate.
Check out this picture and you’ll see what I mean.

Yes. My six pack resides in the fridge, next to the chicken and spaghetti from last night.
And scenes like this saturate the movie. Just wait until you see when they fight–and start exerting themselves. Dang! Whether or not those bodies are CGI-chiseled, every man watching this movie can’t help but feel like a giant slab of woobly fat.
Lucky for me, my girlfriend doesn’t mind it.

If you’ve ever been to my house, then you know that if not for the Ikea furniture holding up my roof, then my ceiling would probably come crashing to the floor. Well, inspired by a recent trip to the Swedish furniture dreamland and a Soup Plantation lunch that was looking for its way out, wecame up with a list of possible line of Ikea toilets.
In no particular order, here they are:
- Poupa
- Schita
- Lingon-dingleberry
- Crappa
- Thruune
- Urina
- Smellin
- Porcelinn
- Pookin
Am I missing any? Let me know.

Wow–I can’t believe this much time has passed since my last post. The past few weeks have passed. Let’s see.
Went to San Antonio for a week–mostly business there, did very little in the way of play. When I did, however, it was sweet. I had the best steak I’ve had in my life–twice, no less–with my fiancee, who happens to be a bigger meat and potatoes person than I am. I also got to take a river taxi a few times through the city and got to take pictures of the Alamo.
Hmm…let’s see, what else, what else. The wedding is a few months away now. Just a few months. I think at this point, we have a florist and that I finally know the tuxes that the groomsmen are wearing. Now, I need to learn how to dance. I need to come up with my own vows. The details…sheesh–the details!
I just purchased some new computer hardware. Now my computer which was so awesome, is now packed with more awesomeness. To those that know my technology geeky side, it may come as a shock to know–I have jumped camps. I now have Intel hardware in my desktop. Yes, I know, we’ve had a Macbook Pro (Intel Core 2 Duo) for a few months, but that doesn’t count–not like we have a choice in the processor. But now my desktop computer is going to be boasting it’s blue and green (if you know about nVidia, that would make sense).
In the next week or so, I am going to New York to spread my geek=y knowledge. Yay! Other than the work I have to do, I am planning on eating at one of Mario Batali’s restaurant and checking out something on Broadway.
So while there’s still so much left of this month, I am already looking forward to a vacation–which probably won’t happen until the honeymoon cruise.
