Spheres made of wood and metal.
This weekend, I purchased five (yes, 5) completely useless (other than decorative) spheres. Let me see if I can make them sound cooler than they really are…
I have placed them in three aesthetic locations in my living room space. They are situated in a manner to optimize the fashionable impact and adds geometry in an otherwise plain area. The wooden spheres seem to infinetely intertwine into a remarkable circular shape which harkens back to a technology free time. The reflective surface of the metal spheres add drama and make for an excellent catalyst to suddenly blurring transitions that eventually lead to a daydream or flashback.
Other than that, I did more manly things like drag huge amounts of cardboard out to the garbage and try on groomsmen tuxes. I also went to a Padres game and watched a remarkable amount of baseball this weekend. I also implemented Windows Vista and added a powerful Martin Logan subwoofer to increase the SPL of my growing home theater. Nice.
