Batali pizza.

I’ve had Little Caesar’s pizza. They are nasty. Except, sometimes, they seem to hit a spot I didn’t know existed, as I slip into some food-induced coma.

Well, very soon, I shall be eating up at Mario Batali’s restaurant. Yes, the famous chef known for wearing the footwear I shall not mention in this post, makes some of his pizza here on the west coast, for us lucky southern Californians.

I’ll let you know how it tastes.

I like Crocs. I do. Seriously.

And so do these people.

That’s Jack Nicholson and Al Pacino. Now all we need is Michael Jordan. OK, now that I got it out of my system, I will try my best not to blog about Crocs for at least another post.

Bistro Line

So for the past year, I have exclusively worn Crocs footwear–even at my own wedding, as well as during a good friend’s wedding back in June. I wear them in the house…to the store, and I have even accepted the way they look with shorts.

They are lightweight, comfortable, loose, and breathe very nicely. They are the easiest thing to put on (better than velcro, even), and don’t bug the occasional swollen foot.

Well, take my admiration for Crocs, add my favorite chef, Mario Batali, and voila!

It’s been hot.

This weekend, like countless others before it, have been so busy. Moving, organizing, moving, working, organizing, and laundry. However, being all sorts of hot, we had to force ourselves to cool off or face some type of stroke.

Luckily, I have a pool.

Also, we got to try out some of our wedding gifts. Of particular note, we finally got to try out the Margaritaville mixer. I had my very second margarita over the weekend, then I had my third and forth–then finally, a shot of tequila. Then I don’t remember what happened for the next hour or so. I may be big and fat, but apparently, I am a lightweight when it comes to that stuff.

Bummer about boomer.

David Wells, the ex-Padres pitcher. Still one of my favorites, though.

A real stat

In a sea of weird esoteric statistics (best color uniform, best moon phase) there is finally, a real statistic in baseball worth mentioning.

Unfortunately, it didn’t happen with the Padres. But I’d still like to congratulate Barry Bonds on his 756.
